Privacy notice
Vertice Fintech Ltd advises on the purchase and sale of UK FCA-regulated payment institutions. This notice explains what personal data we hold, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who is responsible
Vertice Fintech Ltd is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at rodolfo.b@verticefintech.com or on (+44) 020 7328 8338.
What we hold
If you use the enquiry form on this site, we hold what you enter into it: your name, your firm, your work email address, your phone number if you give one, whether you are looking to sell or acquire, your FCA authorisation type, and your message.
We also hold business contact details for people at firms in our market. Where those came from is set out below.
Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and diagnostics.
Why we use it
To respond to enquiries and to advise on transactions. To contact you about mandates, opportunities, meetings, research and other services relevant to your firm. To meet our legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations.
Our lawful basis for the first two is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR. We operate in one defined professional market and we contact people in their business capacity about matters relevant to the firm they work for. For the third, our basis is compliance with a legal obligation. Where we ask you for consent, consent is the basis.
Where we get your details
Directly from you, and from public and commercial sources. Those include the Financial Conduct Authority register, Companies House, company websites, professional networks, industry directories, events, introductions, and third-party data providers.
Who else sees it
Suppliers who process data on our behalf, including our CRM, our website host and our email provider. Professional advisers and counterparties where a transaction requires it. Regulators, auditors and law enforcement where we are required to disclose. This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
Some of our suppliers are outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred abroad we rely on the safeguards permitted by UK data protection law, such as an adequacy decision or the UK international data transfer agreement.
Marketing, and how to stop it
You can tell us to stop contacting you for marketing at any time, and we will stop. Reply to any message and say so, or write to rodolfo.b@verticefintech.com. We keep a minimal record of anyone who has opted out, so that we do not contact them again by mistake.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data for as long as it is relevant to our relationship with you or your firm, and for as long as we need it for legal, tax, regulatory or record-keeping purposes. When it is no longer needed for any of those, we delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict its use, and object to how we are using it. You can object to direct marketing at any time and we must stop. Write to us and we will respond within one month. You can reach us at rodolfo.b@verticefintech.com or on (+44) 020 7328 8338.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
